Taiko drumming classes for preschool children and their parents, taught by founder of the GenRyu Arts Taiko and Odori School, Melody Takata.

Celebrate the cultural heritage of San Francisco’s Japantown with our live streaming festival.
Performances include: SF Koto Group Hanaikada, ozashiki shamisen by Sanjuro Toyoaki, and the National Gintenkai Project, Tsukasa Taiko, and GenRyu Arts of San Francisco.
Including craft demonstrations: washi-ningyo with Rochelle Lum, and origami by Linda Mihara of Paper Tree.
Japan Day is part of Japan Week SF which takes place August 9-31, 2020.
